Main Ingredients:
- Seeraga Samba Rice – ½ cup
- Moong Dal – ¼ cup
- Ghee – 2 tbsp
- Black Pepper – 1 tsp
- Cumin – 1 tsp
- Ginger – 1 tsp
- Cashews – 6–8
- Salt – to taste
Instructions for Seeraga Samba Pongal:
Cooking Process:
- Roast moong dal lightly, then pressure cook with rice until soft.
- Heat ghee, add spices, cashews and ginger.
- Mix into the cooked rice-dal mix and adjust salt.
Serving Suggestions:
- Serve with coconut chutney or sambar.
Pro Tips:
- Add a dash of milk for extra creaminess.
